Oreillettes

Deliciously light and crisp pastry fritters

Makes 6 servings

Preparation: 15 minutes


 Ingredients

- 400g flour

- 100g butter

- 30g sugar

- 4 eggs

- pinch of salt

- confectioners sugar


Préparation des oreillettes

Put the flour in a mixing bowl.


Add the sugar, the salt and the softened butter and mix together.


Add the eggs one by one. Knead the dough well and let sit for 2 hours.


Roll out the dough to ½ centimetre thick. 


Cut the dough into 2x4-centimetre bands or use a cookie cutter.


Heat the oil for deep frying until very hot and fry the oreillettes for two minutes.


Remove from oil, place on absorbent paper and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
