Orsan is a village situated in the department of the Gard, 8km to the southeast of Bagnols sur Cèze.
Adjoining the Lacau plateau and the Camp of Caesar, the town is in the heart of the Rhône Valley. It is known for the quality of its wines, the vineyards of which stretch out over 390 hectares.
Fêtes votives, sports activities and taurine events set the pace during the summer season in this convivial village; they are the perfect occasions for bringing together the inhabitants and visitors alike.
The village is dominated by the Lacau plateau and the more venturesome will climb the marked PR30 hiking trail to reach the Belvedere, which will reward them with stunning views over the village of Orsan all the way to the Mont Ventoux, and from Laudun to the Alpilles.
While there, go explore the impressive Camp of Caesar and its many vestiges of the old Roman oppidum, all remarkably preserved.
